Rash of armed robberies hit New Orleans within hours

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Robbers with guns hit three places in New Orleans within hours of each other.

Early Monday morning, two people near the intersection of St. Claude Ave. and Press Street targeted a man walking in the area. They hit the victim in the face with a gun. Then, they went through his pockets.

Sunday night, someone with a gun entered a gas station in the 2700 block of S. Claiborne Ave. The robber left, after employees handed over money.

A couple hours later, someone with a gun approached a woman near the intersection of S. Claiborne Ave. and Cadiz St. The woman let go of her bag after the robber put a gun to her face. Investigators already have their suspect in that case.
