NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A man has been identified as one of two suspects in at least three recent armed robberies in Mid-City.
Police are looking for 36-year-old Randy Brightman in connection with the following incidents:
- On Dec. 4, a 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man told police they were walking in the 300 block of South Lopez Street around 9 a.m. when an unknown black male jumped from behind a tree. The man was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun with a silver barrel. The victims said the gunman demanded their property and instructed a second subject to check the victims. The victims complied and the pair then fled, heading westbound toward Banks Street.
- On Dec 4, a 21-year-old female and a 25-year-old male told police they were walking in the 3200 block of Conti Street around 10 p.m. when an unknown black male approached them and demanded money. The victims said the suspect was wearing a gray hoodie and a knit cap and holding a pistol. The victims complied and said the suspect fled on foot on Conti heading toward North Lopez Street.
- On Dec. 5, a 28-year-old female told police she was walking to her vehicle around 12:05 a.m. in the 100 block of South Dupre Street when she was approached by an unknown black male. The victim said the man was armed with a gun and demanded her money. The victim complied and said the suspect fled on foot. The victim described the suspect as a black male in his 20s or early 30s, wearing a red hooded sweater and about 6’ tall.
