Tulane student robbed at knife point Tuesday night in dorm room

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A Tulane student was robbed at knife-point after he allowed two men into his dorm room.

Around 9 p.m. Tuesday, a student allowed two men he knew to come into his Phelps Hall room.

The men asked if the victim had any drugs to sell. When he told the suspects he no longer sold drugs, they spotted a small safe on his dresser.

One man put a switchblade knife to the victim's throat and demanded money. They fled the room with a safe containing $800, a cell phone and a bluetooth mouse. Both fled the building and were seen leaving the area in a dark colored vehicle.

The suspects are described as black males. One was clean cut, approximately five-feet-six-inches tall, wearing a navy blue shirt and jeans.

The second suspect had a goatee, is between five-feet-seven and five-feet-nine-inches tall with a skinny build. He was wearing a royal blue shirt and jeans.
