NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Dense, patchy fog caused problems this morning and it could come back tonight.
Today we saw a mix of sun and clouds, but no rain. High temperatures were above average today in the low to mid 70s. Tonight, patchy fog is possible as we cool to the upper 40s on the north shore and mid 50s on the south shore.
Other than fog, no issues are expected until the end of the weekend. Each day highs will rise as we will flirt with the 80 degree mark by Saturday. Some strong to severe storms will be possible, but for now they look to stay mostly to our north. We'll be watching closely as we get closer to the weekend.
By Monday, the rain clears out and we'll enjoy cooler, drier air to start next week.
