NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A 43-year veteran of the New Orleans Police Department will be honored and remembered by fellow officers, friends and family members Friday, Dec. 11.
A funeral mass will be held for the late NOPD Sergeant Michael Marziale.
According to the NOPD, He was the fifth longest serving officer on the force when he died Dec. 4 of injuries received in an auto accident Nov. 25.
The public viewing begins at 9:00 a.m. and mass begins at noon at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.
Marziale was off-duty when his Kia SUV went off the road and crashed into a pole in the 2800 block of Richland Avenue in Jefferson parish.
