NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A New Orleans group made up civic, neighborhood and business organizations released its progress report on several elected officials and their performance in office.
Forward New Orleans came together in 2010. Candidates could pledge to the group improvements that would be made during their time in office.
"We see many instances where the work of elected officials well-positions us to continue on a trajectory of improvement with regard to governmental function and framework," the group said.
The group believes elected officials must keep a close eye on the city's crime problem and look for ways to make the streets safer.
The grades for elected officials are a mixed bag, but it appears city leaders are making improvements in key areas.
