Franklin Parish, LA -

Wildlife agents bagged a hunter using his post on Facebook.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries agents say they got anonymous complaints about a photo Jacob W. Jones, 39 posted on his Facebook page showing a six-point buck.

The problem is, agents say Jones killed the buck while hunting without a basic or big game license and he failed to comply with deer tagging requirements.

Investigators say they learned that Jones killed the deer Dec. 9 in Franklin Parish.

Wildlife agents say hunting without basic and big game licenses each carry a $50 fine and 15 days in jail.

Failing to comply with deer tagging requirements carries a $100 to $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail.

Agents say Jones may also be required to pay $1,624 civil restitution for the deer.
