Deputies: Suspect arrested for sixth time in 2 years

ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested Corey Bartholomew, 25, in connection with a shooting that happened in Edgard on Sunday.

Deputies say during their investigation they identified Bartholomew as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest.

Bartholomew turned himself in to detectives at the Criminal Investigations Division on Monday. Detectives booked Bartholomew on charges of aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

Bartholomew has been arrested six times in St. John the Baptist Parish since September of 2013. He is awaiting a bond hearing.
