Two Kenner men face weapons charges Two Kenner men face weapons charges
KENNER, LA (WVUE) -

On Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, members of the Kenner Police Department arrested Leo Wallace, 19,  of 3304 Delaware Avenue, and Marlon Jackson 18, of 2500 Idaho Avenue.

Both were booked with illegal carrying of weapons and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

A spokesman for the Kenner Police Department says officers received information on Monday that both Wallace and Jackson were armed, and in the Susan Park Subdivision.

Police say both were supposedly involved in an earlier disturbance, which was not reported to officers.

The disturbance allegedly involved an unknown individual that they intended to retaliate against and shoot.

Investigators say they are familiar with both Wallace and Jackson, due to previous arrests.

As a result, both were located as they walked in the 200 block of 27th Street in Kenner's Susan Park Subdivision.

Upon officers attempting to conduct an investigatory stop, they say both Wallace and Jackson attempted to flee by running.

Officers pursued and were able to capture Wallace in the 2600 block of Salem Street, and Jackson in the 2600 block of Fayette Street.

Both were allegedly armed, one with a 9 millimeter and the second a 40 caliber handgun.

Police say both guns serial numbers were obliterated.
