(WVUE) - Wednesday will see a very muggy start across the area this morning.
A cold front will bring an increasing chance for rain and a few storms as we move through the day.
Rain will be likely by late this afternoon and this evening. A few storms could be strong.
Cooler air filters into the area by Thursday morning with a few lingering showers.
The weekend looks sunny but chilly. Highs will mostly be in the 50s on Friday and Saturday but warming to the 60s on Sunday.
Overnight lows will be in the 30s on the Northshore and 40s south of Lake Pontchartrain.
A light freeze is possible Saturday morning north of the lake.
Early next week may be stormy.
