(WVUE) - Authorities are investigating three armed robberies in New Orleans that happened Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
The New Orleans Police Department says the first incident occurred in at a business in the 4900 block of Canal Street. A preliminary police report says a man entered the Vapor Room shortly after 6 p.m. on Tuesday and demanded money from the victim. They say the victim complied and the man ran away.
The second armed robbery happened in the 1400 block of Mazant Street. Authorities say the victim was walking in the area around 10 p.m. Tuesday night when a man armed with a gun approached him from behind. The man told the victim to get on the ground. The victim complied, that's when the armed man took his personal belongings. He fired one shot striking the victim before he fled.
The third incident happened in the French Quarter around 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. According to the initial investigation, the victim was walking in the 600 block of Dumaine Street when two men approached him demanding his belongings. Authorities say the victim followed the request and the men fled.
