BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

After 16 weeks of intense training, the Louisiana State Police is about to welcome new troopers into its ranks.

Cadet Class #94 will graduate on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Baton Rouge.

The 57 new troopers started their journey in August. The State Police chronicled their experience in various Facebook posts. LSP posted to "succeed in their career as a Louisiana State Trooper, cadets must first learn personal discipline, attention to detail, leadership, teamwork skills, and inner strength."

Throughout their training, the cadets were taught state and federal law, ethics, crash investigation and how to spot an impaired driver.

LSP says newly graduated troopers will participate in additional training. They will take part in a 10-14 week field training program under the supervision of a senior State Trooper.
