NOPD investigates two Thursday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating two armed robberies that happened Thursday in the city.

The first occurred just before 3 p.m. near the intersection of Louisa Street and North Galvez.

A 29-year-old was boarding a bus when he was approached from behind by an armed  man.

The victim stepped off the bus when the suspect demanded the victim's belongings.

The suspect fled after his demands were met.

The second incident occurred just after 11 p.m. near the intersection o f Perrier and Constantinople Streets.

38-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were approached by two suspects, both described as black males.

One of the men, who was armed with a gun, demanded money from the victims.

They gave their money to the suspects, who then fled with $190 in cash.
