NOPD: Shooting in Treme leaves one woman dead

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting in the Treme neighborhood that left one woman dead. The incident occurred Saturday evening in the 2600 block of Dumaine Street.

Police say that the 54-year-old victim was found on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
