NOPD investigating two Monday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating two armed robberies from Monday.

The first occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Upperline Street. Two men, 24 and 29 were working when they were approached by a suspect described as a black male.

The suspect pulled a gun and demanded money. One victim gave up his money, the second victim did not have any valuables.

The suspect fled the scene

The second armed robbery occurred just after 6:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of South Tonti Street.

A 46-year-old man was getting into his car when he was approached by a suspect described as a black male.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and demanded the victim's car keys and wallet.

The victim complied and the male fled.

Both investigations are ongoing.
