NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police hope the public can help identify a person who may have information about a residential burglary.
It happened on Dec. 17 in the 800 block of Voisin Street. Another attempted residential burglary happened the same day in the 800 block of Louque Place.
Police said the homeowner on Voisin returned home around 10 a.m. and discovered the side door was kicked in and the inside of the home was ransacked. However, police said nothing appeared to be missing.
Ninety minutes later, the homeowner on Louque discovered a side window pane was smashed out. Police said the homeowner told them she didn't believe the person got into the home.
Police said the person was seen walking in both neighborhoods during the time of the burglaries.
Anyone with information about who the person maybe, is asked to call the Third District Investigative Unit at (504) 658-6030 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. You could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500 for the information leading only to the arrest, except on homicides, where Crimestoppers will pay half of the reward upon the arrest and half on the indictment of the responsible person(s).
