Saints fans already ready for next season

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - After 16 games with only seven wins, Saints fans are eager to get the next season underway, but some think when it comes to Drew Brees, now is the time to take a page out of the Packer's playbook.

"Brett Farve was there, and they made the conscious decision to get rid of some serious talent, and they put Aaron Rodgers in and I think Brees has another year or two, but do we start thinking about the next quarterback down the road?" said Saints fan Mike Kraenzle.

For some fans, though, the road to success doesn't have exit ramps for the Saints' top player and leadership.

"I think all of that goes together as far as Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Mickey Loomis. They're kind of the trifecta right there. To miss any of those guys or have any of those guys leave, that would be a big upset for the Saints," said fan Charles Gaspard.

"I'm hoping he stays, and I'm hoping Drew Brees stays. I think they're a good combination, and I think we've got another great year coming, and hopefully, they'll have some great things happening when they pick new players," said fan Sheila MacWilliams.

While most wish there was more Saints football to look forward to in the playoffs, they'll take the two wins against Atlanta as their own personal victory.

"That, to me, is a way to win," Trina Williams said, "We did it, so I think we have hope we can do more. We'll do it again next year, and we have a ring just to let everyone else know. Remember that!"
