NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The Krewe of Oshun rolls on Friday, Jan. 29 at 6 p.m. on the Uptown parade route. It starts at the intersection of Napoleon Ave. and Perrier St. The krewe rolls to St. Charles Ave. where it makes a right and travels past Lee Circle to Canal St. The parade continues to O'Keefe Ave. and makes a U-turn. the parade turns onto Tchoupitoulas St. and ends at Poydras St.

The Krewe of Oshun celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The parade traditionally includes more than 50 units and is lead by the captain aboard her peacock float. The 2015 procession is entitled Sea of Beauty and will feature a band contest and 20 Barry Barth floats, according to carnival expert Arthur Hardy.

FOX 8 Sports Director Juan Kincaid and Kristi Coleman will serve as co-grand marshals.
