NOPD investigations two Monday armed robberies

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are investigating two Monday armed robberies.

The first incident occurred at 1:49 p.m. in the 1600 block of Industry Street.

A 32-year-old woman was walking in the area and saw a vehicle approaching her.

The driver of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and demanded the victim's belongings. The victim complied and the subject got back in the vehicle and fled.

The second incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Gravier Street.

A suspect, described as a black male, walked up to a Whitney Bank teller and gave her a note indicating he had a bomb in a bag and instructing her to give him money.

The teller complied and the suspect fled from the location, leaving the bag.

The Special Operations Division of the NOPD was notified and the bag was searched. No bomb was found.
