FRANKLINTON, LA (WVUE) -

Firefighters found the body of a woman after fighting a fire Wednesday at a home on Green Street.

Investigators believe the victim of the fire is 47-year-old Livia Rodriguez, who lived in the home. They found her body in the master bedroom.

The State Fire Marshal said the home did not have smoke alarms. Investigators believe the woman died of smoke inhalation, but the coroner is performing an autopsy.

Firefighters believe the fire may have started because of smoking. They said the fire started in the bedroom where a significant amount of used smoking materials and residue next to the bed.
