NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Former Saint Tammany Parish Coroner Peter Galvan moved Wednesday from a federal prison to a state prison.

He's serving time for conspiring and taking public money for his personal use. Lee Zurik's series of investigative reports called Body of Evidence exposed questionable spending at his office.

Galvan wants a judge to drop a wrongful termination suit filed by a whistleblower, who once worked for him. In a 150-page motion for summary judgment, he claims Laura King ''provided no reason for her belief that termination was contrary to law."

King filed suit six years ago, after complaining that Galvan illegally fired and sexually harassed her. Her husband, Terry King, says Galvan's motion is baseless.
