BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) - Following slumping holiday sales, Macy's announced it will lay off 4,500 people and shut down 40
stores in an effort to save $400 million.
Only one Louisiana store made the list of closures. It's located in Cortana Mall in Baton Rouge.
Macy's is one of the nation's biggest retailers and had sales of more than $28 billion in 2014.
