NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

A judge tones down language in the indictment against former Saint Tammany Parish and Washington Parish district attorney Walter Reed.

Judge Eldon Fallon removed three sections of the indictment with information he calls "extraneous." He refused to dismiss any of the charges.

Reed faces trial in April on 18 counts, including wire fraud and money laundering. Lee Zurik's investigative series of reports called "Louisiana Purchased" exposed some of Reed's questionable operations. FOX 8 conducted the investigation with partners at Nola.com|The Times-Picayune.
