NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Dense fog settled into the area this morning and some has lingered over waterways. Highs today will reach near 70 degrees despite mostly cloudy skies. Overnight will be relatively mild, and fog is likely to redevelop.
Another upper disturbance will sweep through early on Saturday. Heavy rainfall and possible thunderstorms will begin in the early morning hours and be done by lunch time. Colder air will follow for late Saturday through Monday. Freezes are likely on the North Shore Monday and Tuesday morning. Some frost is certainly possible south of the lake. Get ready to get the heavier coats out as we will see colder temps through mid January.
