MARRERO, LA (WVUE) -

Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Deputies are searching for a Marrero man who has been reported missing. Dieumafaite Nicolas, 56, was last seen by his wife, Idomene, around 9 a.m. on Wednesday Dec. 16, 2015.

According to police, Idomene told detectives that Dieumafaite left their home in the 1200 block of Lee Street to drop off their grandson in Marrero. Around 10:30 a.m. that morning Idomene spoke with Dieumafaite on the phone and was informed that he was on his way home. She called the JPSO after her husband didn't return home.

Idomene told police that family and friends joined in the search for Dieumafaite but were unsuccessful. Dieumafaite was last seen driving a blue 4-door Toyota Highlander with a license plate reading VSG200, which New Orleans police found Sunday, Dec. 26, 2015 in the 14000 block of Michoud Blvd.

If you have any information that could help locate Dieumafaite Nicolas, you are asked to call JPSO Detective Brian Johnson at 504-364-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
