NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police Sunday arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with the murder of his brother.

Sixth District officers responded to a call to investigate a man shot. When officers arrived, they found Sammie Banks suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Banks was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Solomon Banks was later apprehended without further incident inside of a home in the 1800 block of Second Street. He ultimately confessed to detectives that he shot his brother after an argument.
