NOPD investigates two aggravated burglaries in Mid-City

(WVUE) - New Orleans Police are investigating two early morning burglaries.

The first incident happened just after midnight Monday morning in Mid-City.

According to the initial police report the suspect, Joshua Spicer, and the victim, a 30-year-old woman, were involved in an argument in home in the 2000 block of Poydras Street.

They say Spicer left and when he came back he kicked in the door to the home and hit the woman in the eye.

Then he left again and returned kicking in the door a second time and went to bed.

Officers say they arrested Spicer without incident.

The second burglary happened about 30 minutes past midnight Monday morning also in Mid-City.

The initial police report states that two men forced their way into a home in the 800 block of North Dorgenois Street.

They say there the two held up two women and a man at gunpoint.

Officers say  there was a fight involving one of the suspects and one of the women was hit in the head with a glass. During the struggle the gun went off.
