Police: Man robbed after meeting woman on dating website

Two men robbed someone who went to meet a woman he met on the dating website, backpage.com.

The rendezvous was set up on Friday, shortly before 3 a.m. on Gibb St., according to Houma Police.

The victim arranged to meet the woman, identified as Brandy Helms, 33. She asked him to undress, according to investigators. Helms then turned on music, which was a signal for the other suspects to enter.

Officers said Delano Jenkins, 21 and Tyron Lee, 28 entered the bedroom, threatened the victim, and robbed him of money and a cell phone.

The suspects then forced the victim into his vehicle, took him to a bank and ordered withdraw money from his bank account.

Afterwards, they brought him back to Gibb St. where he was released, police said.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Houma Police located Helms and Jenkins. They were arrested for robbery, kidnapping and carjacking.

Later during the day, Lee was also located and arrested for the same charges.
