LOCKPORT, LA (WVUE) - Lockport police are looking for a man who passed a counterfeit $20 bill at a local convenience store.
Authorities learned that the suspect, described as a black male, entered a convenience store on Crescent Avenue just before noon on Sunday, January 10.
He used a counterfeit $20 bill to make a purchase. The cashier discovered the bill was counterfeit moments after the suspect left the store.
A surveillance camera captured an image of the suspect at the cashier's counter.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting "GIVEATIP" plus your message to 274637.
