Plaquemines Parish increases ferry fare

PLAQUEMINES PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Soon it will cost a little more for drivers using the ferry in Plaquemines Parish.
Starting February 1st, all motorcycles and two axle vehicles will have to pay $1.00 to use the ferry.

Any vehicles towing a trailer will now have to pay $2.00.
the increased ferry fee will be for all ferries operating out of belle chase and Point a la Hache.
Pedestrians will still ride free.
