Motorcyclist killed in I-10 crash

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning in an accident on I-10 near West End Boulevard.

According to NOPD, the 36-year-old Laplace man was going west bound on I-10 around 1:38 a.m. when, for unknown reasons, he lost control and struck the back of a 2012 Ford Edge. The rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the right shoulder lane of the interstate. Paramedics pronounced him dead on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing. NOPD said alcohol and blood tests are both pending.
