NOPD: Man wanted for armed robbery at McDonald’s

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police are searching for a man responsible for an armed robbery at a McDonald’s.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Friday at the restaurant located at the corner of St. Claude Avenue and Franklin Avenue.

Police said the armed man entered the McDonald’s and demanded money from the register. When the cashier opened the register and began to give him the money, the man reached across the counter, took the cash from the drawer and put it in a white plastic bag. The man then fled out the store.

Police described the suspect as a black male, in his 30s. He is about 5’7” tall, with a medium build and dark complexion. He was wearing a black hat, black shirt and camouflage pants.
