Two New Orleans McDonald's restaurants robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Two New Orleans McDonald’s restaurants were robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon.

2:19 p.m. the McDonald’s restaurant in the 1900 block of North Broad Street was robbed by a man with a  gun.

The suspect, described as a black male, entered the restaurant and approached the counter. He pulled out a gun and demanded money from the cashier.

The suspect then fled from location.

Shortly thereafter, another McDonald’s restaurant was robbed by a man with gun.

At 2:31 p.m. in the  3000 block of Elysian Fields Avenue, a suspect described as a black make, walked into a McDonald’s restaurant and demanded money from the register. The cashier complied with the demand and the suspect fled the location in a two-door burgundy Cutlass with a Mississippi plate.

The suspect was described as short and wearing a black hoodie.
