NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - With only two weeks left until National Signing Day, both LSU and Tulane are still searching for quarterbacks to sign in 2016.

LSU did have the verbal commitment of Feleipe Franks for almost a year, but he flipped to Florida this Fall. Another option was eliminated this week when Dwayne Haskins verbally committed to Ohio State. Haskins tweeted out Monday, "It's been a dream of mine to play for Ohio State since I was 8 years old. In my heart I'm a Buckeye."

Tanner Lee could be in the 2016 class, but would have to sit out this upcoming season after transferring from Tulane. He's currently requesting a waiver from the NCAA to get two years of eligibility remaining, starting with his 2017 season.

Brandon Harris will be a junior this Fall, and backup Anthony Jennings a senior.

Uptown at Tulane the QB race is in complete disarray. With Lee leaving the program, Devin Powell and Glenn Cuillette are the remaining quarterbacks with any playing time on the roster.

Darius Bradwell of Tallahassee (Florida) Godby, already is enrolled at Tulane as an early signee. Head Coach Willie Fritz isn't done at the spot if you look at official visits to campus.

This past weekend he courted Lindsey Scott, Jr. out of Zachary. The 2015 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year decommitted from Syracuse on Sunday, and has other schools hot on his trail also.

One other option for Fritz is Ty Pigrome out of Alabama. Pigrome is the 2015 Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year.

National Signing Day is Feb. 3.
