JPSO names suspects Metairie fatal shooting

METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) - Jefferson Parish Sheriff's deputies have named two suspects in the shooting death of a 34-year-old man.

Ryan Saffrhan was shot and killed Saturday while sitting inside of his vehicle in the 500 block of N. Elm St. in Metairie.

Investigators believe the victim was in the area trying to sell marijuana after he was robbed of drugs and personal items by two men earlier in the day. Deputies think Saffrhan was in the area trying to find the men.

During the investigation, officers learned from witnesses the identities of the two suspects they believe are responsible for Saffrhan's death.

First-degree murder warrants have been issued for Darren Lloyd, 19, of New Orleans, and Ira Brown, 20 of Kenner.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either suspect, or who may have information that could be helpful in this investigation, is asked to contact Homicide Detective Melvin Francis at 504-364-5300 or Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
