NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Just days ago, he was a commit to Syracuse, a decision he made mid-football season in the fall. Now after de-committing from the Orange, the offers are rolling in for Zachary High School's Lindsey Scott Jr., and the latest is LSU.
The senior quarterback announced on Twitter this afternoon that the Tigers made the scholarship offer, following Maryland on Monday, while continuing to gain interest from other power five conference teams across the nation.
Scott led Zachary to a Class 5A state title win over John Ehret in December and completed an incredible season where he totaled more than 4,200 yards and 52 touchdowns.
The Tigers aren't alone in hopping on the bandwagon. Tulane and new head coach Willie Fritz offered Scott in December, and many consider it to be a perfect fit in what will likely be an option run offense from the Green Wave. Scott's made it known he's still weighing his options, which are growing by the day.
Signing Day 2016 is February 3rd.
