Tulane can't get offense going at Connecticut, fall to 1-6 in AAC play

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Just as Tulane was able to hold undefeated SMU to a respectable 60 points Sunday, the Wave defense held Connecticut to just 60 Tuesday night but the offense mustered only 42 on the road as Ed Conroy's team fell to 8-12 overall, 1-6 in the American Conference.

It took the Green Wave 14 minutes to break double-digits as UConn jumped out to a 28-9 lead in the first half en route to a comfortable win. Louis Dabney led Tulane with 15 points on 16 attempts. As a team, the visitors tallied just six assists and shot 25.9% from the field, compared to 35.8% for the Huskies.

The time away from home continues Sunday with a morning contest at Cincinnati set for 11 AM.
