KENNER, LA (WVUE) - A 16-year-old Destrehan High student allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with her teacher told investigators specific details about her teacher's apartment and body marks, according to a Kenner Police probable cause affidavit.
Kenner Police say teacher Kimberly Naquin's sexual relationship with one of her own female students lasted from October 2014 to August 2015.
According to the affidavit, the student drove to the Naquin's Kenner apartment on several occasions, and police say Naquin and the student would then engage in sexual acts. The report goes on to say that Naquin waved her Miranda Rights after being arrested.
During an interview, police say Naquin admitted to all of the incidents her student described to officers.
"I don't know when they got her to give this alleged statement, but that certainly makes things more difficult for her if she wants to later say that it didn't happen," FOX 8 legal analyst Joe Raspanti said. "It sure sounds like the victim here knew a lot about her apartment and her body. That made it clear that she did in fact have this relationship with this woman."
Police say the student recalled exact dates she and Naquin would meet.
Investigators also said the student knew specifics about Naquin's apartment and about a scar on Naquin's thigh that police say "one would only know if they had seen her in a state of complete undress."
Naquin also admitted that after she ended a relationship with her live-in girlfriend, she had six additional sexual encounters with her student, according to police.
"They decided to charge her with carnal knowledge of a juvenile," Raspanti said. "That's zero to 10 years, and you have to register as a sex offender."
Jefferson Parish authorities released Naquin on Tuesday due to overcrowding. Her attorney did not return FOX 8's request for comment.
Naquin is also charged in St. Charles Parish, where she is accused of having sexual relations with the same student in her classroom.
