(WVUE) - Road slowdowns due to fog in the area are already slowing the morning commute.
A dense fog advisory has been issued for several southeast Louisiana parishes and counties in southern Mississippi.
The parishes of Orleans, Jefferson, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne, St. John the Baptist and St. Charles are under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m.
Hancock County in southern Mississippi is also included in that advisory.
The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway police are beginning convoys on the southbound span, while the northbound side is down to one lane. Speeds are down to 35 mph on the northbound side.
