A tornado watch is issued when conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form. It does not mean tornadoes are imminent.
Storms will increase throughout the afternoon hours and into the evening. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible.
Once the storms move through it will turn sharply colder overnight, with lows dropping into the 40s. Friday will be a shock to the system as highs will remain in the 40s, with the wind making it feel like the 30s.
A freeze is likely on the north shore by Saturday morning with mostly middle 30s south of the lake. The sun returns on Saturday, but highs will likely remain in the 40s.
A hard freeze is likely for the north shore on Sunday morning with readings around 24. South of the lake an area wide freeze is likely even in the city with temperatures around 30 degrees.
More sunshine on Sunday with highs breaking 50 degrees.
