(WVUE) - Riverside linebacker Evan Veron has been contributing for the Rebels since he was an eighth-grader, and he has a clear vision for the impact he wants to make on the next level at Nicholls.
The senior is committed to the Colonels and should bring an instant impact coming off a senior season that saw him log 135 tackles, over a quarter of which were for a loss in the backfield.
Veron won't sign on the dotted line until National Signing Day on Feb. 3, but is already looking ahead to his time in Thibodaux.
"I got two offers. I got offers from Nicholls and Northwestern, but the coaching at staff at Nicholls, coach Rebowe and coach Lee, I've got a great relationship with them," Veron said. "You know, I think we're going to build something special the next four years."
