Former Tulane quarterback Tanner Lee is going back on the recruiting circuit, still in search of a new school. Last weekend he took an official visit to LSU, and today he flew out to the University of Nebraska.
In two seasons as the starting quarterback at Tulane. Lee threw for 3,600 yards with 23 touchdown passes. With Wille Fritz's arrival, and his implementing a run-heavy offense, Lee asked for and was granted his release from Tulane.
The Tigers are still in the mix for Lee's services, saying earlier this week,"With LSU, there's big-time mutual interest between both of us. It's just when and how I would be able to get in there. They're helping me out with my hardship appeal, trying to get a sixth year on the back end. They've been really helpful. I've talked with Coach Cameron every day since I've been back. I'm really excited to work something out, but everything is still wide open."
Lee is currently enrolled at Tulane taking online courses and going to school on campus. He could transfer in the next two weeks, or he could just wait until the summer.
