(WVUE) - Last week ESPN's Joe Lunardi projected LSU not making the NCAA Tournament as the "first team out". Monday, the Tigers just made the cut in Lunardi's "bracketology".
LSU lost this past Tuesday to 10th-ranked Texas A&M, but recovered nicely to win a close contest at Alabama Saturday.
Bracketology projects LSU to play Cincinnati in a play-in game. Those game are contested on Tuesday and Wednesday, before the second round of the NCAA Tournament commences starting Thursday, March 17. The Bearcats beat Tulane yesterday by 22-points at home.
Jerry Palm of CBSsports.com also does bracketology, he doesn't have LSU making the tourney field.
The Tigers next game is Tuesday at home against Georgia.
