ST. BERNARD PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Before the Knights of Nemesis parade rolls through the streets of Chalmette on Saturday, January 30, parish workers will make sure the neutral ground is clear.

Parish President Guy McInnis announced obstructions will not be allowed on the neutral ground. Parade goers cannot use ropes, tents, scaffolds or barricades to partition space for themselves or their families.

McInnis said the objects will be considered litter and a public safety hazard. Parish workers will monitor and remove any obstructions on the neutral ground from now through Saturday morning.

The parish says the same rule will apply when the Irish, Italian, Islenos parade rolls on April 16, 2016.
