NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD has arrested a woman accused of using Craigslist to lure men to locations where they were then robbed by her male accomplices, according to a Police Department news release.

CiJi Winfield, 31, faces three counts of armed robbery and two counts of possession of stolen property.

The most recent crime happened Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the 9700 block of Lake Forest Boulevard. The 32-year old victim said that he and Winfield had communicated via text since mid-January, and when he went to the location to meet Winfield, he was ambushed by two men who took his property and fled on foot.

During the past three days, NOPD Seventh District officers responded to aggravated burglaries involving a woman on Craigslist. Detectives obtained a photo of Winfield from Craigslist and said they later determined that she was the woman involved in all of the incidents.

Police said during the course of the investigation, Winfield confessed that she, along with two men, committed the armed robbery on Lake Forest and two aggravated burglaries in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany Boulevard and the 4500 block of Hauck Drive. Winfield’s accomplices remain at large. One is described as a black male, 5'8'' to 5'9" tall with a slim build and a medium brown complexion. He was last seen wearing a Peruvian hat and a long dark trench coat. The suspect was also armed with a dark semi-automatic handgun. The other accomplice is unknown.

The Seventh District Investigative Unit is in charge of the investigation.
