Tulane student bonds out of jail, sent to mental hospital

A Tulane student accused in a string of Uptown home invasions bonded out of jail.

However, the judge ordered 22-year-old Oliver Jerde be sent to a mental facility upon his release.

Jerde is now in River Oaks Hospital after paying cash for a $100,000 dollar bond.

He is accused of two counts of aggravated burglary, simply burglary and aggravated assault.
