State Supreme Court rejects Jefferson Parish Katrina class-action lawsuit

(WVUE) - A class-action lawsuit blaming Jefferson Parish for flood damage during Katrina, will not move forward.
Some Jefferson Parish residents and property owners filed the suit in 2005, alleging then-parish president Aaron Broussard and his administration, were responsible for flooding after drainage pump operators were ordered to evacuate.
In 2014, a jury found Broussard not liable.
Yesterday, the Louisiana Supreme Court refused a request to consider the case and upheld the 2014 verdict.
