JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development crews will begin work on the I-310/Luling (Hale Boggs) Bridge on Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.
The project includes removing and replacing the bridge deck and other repairs.
Initial closures include one lane on southbound I-310. In mid-February, all northbound traffic will use southbound lanes. Drivers should expect delays.
Based on a traffic study, engineers have determined that two northbound lanes and one southbound lane will remain open in order to keep delays to a minimum.
All construction timetables are weather dependent, and drivers can call 511 on their cell phones, or 1-888-ROAD-511, or visiting www.511la.org for daily information.
