NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -
The Hainkel Home and the Krewe of Thoth were thrilled to host their 44th annual Krewe of Angels Grand Masque on Wednesday evening at the Hainkel Home near Audubon Park.
Thoth's members provided plenty of surprises for those who were able to attend the event. Residents enjoyed food, fun and plenty of smiles.
The tradition was started in 1962 to give joy and happiness to others who would not be able to join in Mardi Grads Traditions.
Mary Brooks Rodrigue, President of the Hainkel Home said that this event continues because of the love and devotion of its board, staff, employees and the Krewe of Thoth who delight in seeing the happy and satisfied faces of their residents and their family members.
Hainkel Home is located at 612 Henry Clay Ave. It operates as long term skilled nursing facility, which serves people who need total care and an adult day health care.
