Mandeville man badly injured in Cambodia

Relatives of a Mandeville man severely injured a long way from home reach out for help.

Nick Tynes, 32, moved to Cambodia more than a year ago when he opened a New Orleans-style restaurant called NOLA.

Last week in the town of Kampot, a truck ran into him and left the LSU graduate severely injured.

His aunt, Christie Hughes says he was on his scooter wearing a helmet when "a truck cut him off, they left him for dead."

Family members say Tynes has already endured a six hour surgery to remove a bone fragment from his brain. They say he will need many more.

The family set up a Go Fund Me account in his name which has already raised more than $11,000.
